From the window

Thought I would share this picture. Randel surprised me with a trip to Cancun for our anniversary last October. Our anniversary is October 20th in case you wanted to get us a card!. Anyway, we were just about half way into our flight when I looked out and saw this...

It was the sunset. I couldn't stop taking pictures of it. So pretty.

Breakfast of...?

Jackson just turned 4 and is learning alot about pronunciation these days. When he was three, so only a few months ago, his favorite cereal was Corn Pops. As easy as this seems to say, for us adults, Jack couldn't wrap his little tounge around it and it always, to this day, comes out as "Porn Cocks"!!!

2nd Try!

So, no, didn't drop off the earth, just everything seemed to happen all at once, camera broke, winter came and didn't leave which meant my whole household was on each others nerves as there was no 'outside time', we had a flood in our basement when is was -30 something, lost my best friend, rescue had some bumps, but now.....breathing again!

Everytime the kids, dogs, or cats did something cute, all I could think of is : I should blog about this so we don't forget. So, I will try to catch ourselves up to all that has happened during the past few months.

I usually sit at the computer each night, just looking at neat stuff and reading other blogs, so I am determined to take at least a half an hour each day to add some pictures and cute write ups to this blog.

Today, I start with this picture. I am not sure how to add pictures to this blog and not sure where it will appear, but here is the picture:

Yay! It went where I wanted it to! Anyway, I really treasure this picture as not only are the kids cute, but the old man, is my grandpa! I grew up calling him Opa, the German/European form of Grampa, but the kids call him Opa Birdie. He can mimic almost any animal very well, I personally love his rendition of a pig, but Rayna loved him when she was a baby because he would whistle like the birds whenever he held her or wanted to get her attention. So, Opa Birdie he became and we all call him that now.

He is the 'perfect' Opa, I think, always let me tag along when I was little. Showed me neat things and taught me to do things at the farm, always funny and sometimes will still slip me shopping money! Recently, my mom arranged with the seniors pension plan to get him some hearing aides. My Dad was in Calgary a few days after he got them and it was funny to hear how he complained about being able to hear too much and that he doesn't like wearing them! He said to my dad that he 'can hear his feet inside his shoes!' We are hoping that he gives himself time to adjust and get used to it.

Thats it for today, well, maybe I'll type something up tonight, while I am on a roll here!
